Job Summary
The Ultrasound Technologist at the Perinatal Diagnostic Center is responsible for providing clinically relevant ultrasound imaging to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of high-risk obstetric patients. This role involves performing routine and specialized sonography procedures, preparing exam rooms and equipment following infection control procedures, reviewing patient medical history, and ensuring patient safety during examinations. The technologist must have extensive knowledge of maternal and fetal anatomy, adapt techniques for challenging patients, and conduct follow-up documentation of imaging results in electronic health records.
Required Qualifications
- Current certification by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or eligible
- Must obtain ARDMS certification in Abdomen and OB-Gyn if not certified upon hire
- Current CPR for Healthcare Providers
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required and must be obtained within 30 days of hire
