Job Summary
Obtain clinical histories and perform physical assessments to determine appropriate testing protocols for sonographic examinations. Provide technical interpretations of sonographic and physiologic data to aid physicians in rendering medical diagnoses. Perform and evaluate sonographic examinations as a Registered Sonographer. This per diem, day-shift role is onsite at Providence Valdez Medical Center in Valdez, Alaska. Successful candidates must hold a national certification within one year of hire and possess BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Diagnostic Sonography Program
- Certification with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- National Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer within 1 year of hire
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
- 9 months - Ultrasound coursework experience in Abdomen, OB/Gyn including clinical rotation
