Job Summary
Conduct sonographic examinations, obtain patient clinical histories, and perform physical assessments to determine appropriate testing protocols. Provide technical interpretations of sonographic and physiologic data to aid physicians in rendering medical diagnoses. Maintain certification as a National Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer within one year of hire and obtain BLS certification within 30 days. Requires graduation from an accredited Diagnostic Sonography Program with nine months of coursework experience in Abdomen and OB/Gyn. Relocation assistance available for eligible hires.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Diagnostic Sonography Program
- Certification with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- National Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 9 months Ultrasound coursework experience in Abdomen
- 9 months Ultrasound coursework experience in OB/Gyn
- Clinical rotation in Abdomen
- Clinical rotation in OB/Gyn
- Available for day shift
- Located onsite at Providence Imaging Center in Anchorage, AK
