Job Summary
Perform all essential functions of a Registered Sonographer by conducting sonographic examinations, obtaining clinical histories, and performing physical assessments to determine appropriate testing protocols. Provide technical interpretations of sonographic and physiologic data to aid physicians in rendering medical diagnoses. Requires graduation from an accredited Diagnostic Sonography Program with certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, plus nine months of Ultrasound coursework experience in Abdomen and OB/Gyn including clinical rotations. National Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer certification required within one year of hire, and BLS certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days. Position is per diem, day shift, onsite at Providence Imaging Center in Anchorage, AK.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Diagnostic Sonography Program or Certification with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- National Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 9 months Ultrasound coursework experience in Abdomen, OB/Gyn including clinical rotation
- Coursework/Training: Graduate of accredited Diagnostic Sonography Program or Certification with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- Within 1 year of hire: National Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
- Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 9 months Ultrasound coursework experience in Abdomen, OB/Gyn including clinical rotation
