Job Summary
Perform all essential functions of a Registered Sonographer at Providence Imaging Center in Anchorage, AK. Obtain clinical history and perform physical assessments to determine appropriate testing protocols. Provide technical interpretations of sonographic and physiologic data to aid physicians in medical diagnoses. Conduct day shift, per diem ultrasound examinations including abdomen, OB/Gyn, and preferred breast and vascular studies. Requires accredited diagnostic sonography program graduation, ARDMS certification within one year, and BLS certification within 30 days.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Diagnostic Sonography Program
- Certification with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- National Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 9 months Ultrasound coursework experience in Abdomen, OB/Gyn including clinical rotation
- Performs all the essential functions of the Registered Sonographer
- Performs and evaluates sonographic examinations
- Obtains clinical history and performs a physical assessment of the patient's condition to determine appropriate testing protocol
- Provides a technical interpretation of sonographic and physiologic data to aid physicians in rendering a medical diagnosis
- Located onsite at Providence Imaging Center in Anchorage, AK
- Position is per diem, 0.01 FTE, day shift, hours as needed
Desired Qualifications
- 9 months Ultrasound coursework experience in Breast, Vascular including clinical rotation
