Job Summary
Perform and evaluate sonographic examinations, obtaining clinical histories and physical assessments to determine appropriate testing protocols. Provide technical interpretations of sonographic and physiologic data to aid physicians in rendering medical diagnoses. Requires certification with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, BLS certification, and 9 months of Ultrasound coursework experience in Abdomen and OB/Gyn. This per diem, day-shift role is onsite at Providence Imaging Center in Anchorage, AK.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Diagnostic Sonography Program
- Certification with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- National Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 9 months Ultrasound coursework experience in Abdomen, OB/Gyn including clinical rotation
- Performs all the essential functions of the Registered Sonographer
- Performs and evaluates sonographic examinations
- Obtains clinical history and performs a physical assessment of the patient's condition to determine appropriate testing protocol
- Provides a technical interpretation of sonographic and physiologic data to aid physicians in rendering a medical diagnosis
- Located onsite at Providence Imaging Center in Anchorage, AK
- Position is per diem, 0.01 FTE, day shift, hours as needed
Desired Qualifications
- 9 months Ultrasound coursework experience in Breast, Vascular including clinical rotation
