Job Summary
Ultrasound Technologist Per Diem at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston performs ultrasound examinations under the Ultrasound Manager/Supervisor and Clinical Director, ensuring high-quality imaging, adherence to QA/QI and HIPAA guidelines, and collaboration with Imaging staff, nurses, providers, and researchers. Responsibilities include performing technical procedures, maintaining equipment and records, participating in departmental education and QA/QI activities, managing patient flow and EMR data, and contributing to a culture of excellence in cancer care and research. Must hold ARDMS RDMS or RVT or RT-R/S/RT-R/VS with preferred RDMS-AB and RDMS-OB certifications; requires current BLS or ability to obtain within 90 days; graduation from an accredited ultrasonography program and hospital-based experience preferred. Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited ultrasonography program
- Current registration as an ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or ARDMS Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or ARRT Radiography and Sonography (RT-R/S) or Radiography and Vascular Sonography (RT-R/VS)
- Additional RDMS sub-specialty registrations in abdomen (RDMS-AB) and OB/GYN (RDMS-OB) are preferred
- Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
- Experience: two years of hospital-based ultrasonography experience preferred (as applicable)
