Ultrasound Technologist (Part-Time)

Job Summary
Provide requested high-quality ultrasound images under the direction of the Ultrasound Technologist Manager and Site Manager. Accommodate the next available patient by greeting them, obtaining medical history, and providing procedure instructions while maintaining confidentiality and professional communication. Operate equipment according to established routines, perform quality control, and report any operational concerns immediately. Maintain aseptic conditions and ensure all records, requisitions, and billing information are completed accurately. During lulls, coordinate with reception and other personnel for additional assistance, inform the Site Manager of supply needs, and assist the Radiologist or teach new employees as assigned. This part-time float position requires flexibility to travel between locations and covers Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- One year of formal training in an accredited School of Ultrasound and/or one year of experience as a diagnostic medical sonographer
- Experience in Abdominal, OB/GYN, small parts, and Vascular Ultrasound
- Exceptional communication skills with patients, fellow colleagues, and Radiologists
- Sonographers must obtain RVT or RVS certification within one year of hire or after completing an accredited ultrasound program
- Must obtain and maintain additional accreditation and/or certification(s) required by the State, Federal Government, and RIMI within areas of expertise and to personally maintain the highest professional recognition levels available
- Must be registered in ultrasound by the ARDMS in at least one application
- Must be current with all CME requirements
- Must be willing to travel
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
