Job Summary
Ultrasound Technologist responsibilities include performing a wide range of ultrasound imaging procedures primarily in an ER environment, with emphasis on general abdominal, OB, and vascular scans. Requires ARDMS RDMS certification and at least 1 year of ultrasound experience post-graduation. Must work independently, maintain equipment and area cleanliness, communicate professionally with hospital staff and patients, and meet health requirements (drug screen, background check). The role involves handling diagnostic imaging procedures, providing compassionate patient care, and supporting the clinical team in a hospital setting.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of ultrasound imaging experience post-graduation
- Current ARDMS certification – RDMS
- Valid Driver’s License
- BLS/CPR Certification
- Professionalism and strong interpersonal communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Pass all necessary health requirements for hospital employment, including drug screen and background check
- Comfort level with general abdominal, general OB & general vascular scans/procedures
