Job Summary
Ultrasound Technologist responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures and assisting providers in diagnosing medical conditions, communicating effectively with patients and staff, and maintaining equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in sonography from accredited school
- ARRT/ARDMS Certification(s)
- One to two years on the job experience as an ultrasound technologist is preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of safety, infection control, and quality improvement practices
- Ability to explain technical procedures and results to patients in user-friendly manner
- Ability to calm patients who may be nervous about the procedure
- Ability to use correct body mechanics to assist patients appropriately
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screen
- Must occasionally kneel, twist and have ability to grasp firmly
- Must lift and carry, push and pull in excess of 50lbs
