Job Summary
Conduct general ultrasound examinations across MSK, abdomen, pelvic, breast, and thyroid areas using various equipment. Greet patients, explain procedures, position them, and ensure correct identification and safety prior to scans. Monitor patients during diagnostic procedures, noting symptoms or vital sign changes, and summon medical aid when necessary. Perform required quality control assessments and maintain equipment according to department standards and safety legislation. Prepare and organize reports as required. Work independently within a team-oriented environment supporting shorter wait times and faster report turnaround.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of related experience
- CMRTO certification
- Current CPR certificate
- Ability to perform all types of ultrasound procedures on various types of ultrasound equipment
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and training
- Effective decision-making skills and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
