Job Summary
The Ultrasound Technologist operates diagnostic Ultrasound equipment and assists in mentoring student technologists. Responsibilities include handling multiple demands, transferring patients, and maintaining records. Candidates must possess a High School diploma and a valid ultrasound license, demonstrate proficiency in English, and complete necessary training. BLS certification is required. The position entails exposure to various working conditions, including potential health risks. Spotting strong decision-making skills in priorities under stress is imperative.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate
- Graduate of an AMA approved school of Ultrasound or equivalent education
- Valid current Ultrasound license/certificate
- RDMS registration or certification through another Medical Imaging modality
- 1-2 years of intense Ultrasound training and experience or intent to take Board Exams within a 1 year period
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to read, write and speak English sufficiently
- Ability to complete general orientation and clinical skills guides for Ultrasound Technologist
