Job Summary
Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams and procedures while interacting professionally with patients and staff. Enter orders and schedule exams as needed, process imaging and report requests, and push images to requesting facilities. Answer department phone and apply critical thinking in a dynamic workspace. Collaborate with team members to complete tasks, step in to support teammates when needed, and share responsibility for exams and workflow in a fair and equitable way. Communicate openly and respectfully with patients, providers, and coworkers while adapting to change and contributing ideas that improve workflows.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of ultrasound (24-month course or more), or a new graduate awaiting board exam
- Currently registered by the ARDMS or soon to be
- RVT credential required within one year of hire
- Maintain CEUs as set by the ARDMS
- Interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with physician staff and patients
- Quality of care focused
- Willing to take on new challenges
- Open to learning
- Enjoys working as a team
- Rotating call for weekends/holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Basic computer skills; knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint desired
- Familiar with EMR systems, PACS systems, and EPIC desired
