Job Summary
Provide diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound to generate images of internal organs, tissues, and blood flow. Operate sonographic equipment independently, evaluate images for diagnostic quality, and collaborate with radiologists to ensure accurate information. Explain procedures to patients, position them correctly, and maintain compliance with disinfection and safety protocols. Perform intraoperative ultrasound as requested and assist with minimally invasive procedures. Requires 0-3 years of experience, AHA Basic Life Support certification, and active ARDMS or ARRT credentials. Schedule includes Thursday and Friday shifts from 11am to 11pm with holiday on-call rotation. A sign-on bonus is available for eligible applicants.
Required Qualifications
- 0-3 years of relevant experience
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning
- Active status through one of the following: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS): Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - Abdomen, RDMS(AB), Obstetrics & Gynecology, RDMS(OB/GYN), or Pediatric Sonography, RDMS(PS), and/or Registered Vascular Technologist - Vascular Technology, RVT(VT); American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT): Registered Technologist - Sonography, RT(S) or Vascular Sonography, RT(VS); or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI): R...
- Active status through one of the following: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Medical Sonography (ARDMS): RDMS(BR); or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT): Registered Technologist - Sonography & Breast US, RT(S)(BS), or Radiography, Mammography & Breast Ultrasound, RT(R)(M)(BS)
- Active status through one of the following: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS): RDMS(BR); or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT): Registered Technologist - Sonography & Breast US, RT(S)(BS), or Radiography, Mammography & Breast Ultrasound, RT(R)(M)(BS) within 18 months of hire
- Ultrasound education program graduation or passing ARDMS physics boards
- Certification through one of the methods mentioned in the accredited section above within 12 months of hire
- License from Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH)
