Execute routine and specialized sonographic procedures across all patient types, selecting accurate equipment and technical factors based on individual needs. Verify exam protocols and patient identity, then initiate scanning while obtaining detailed histories to assist radiologists in interpreting results. Prioritize patient flow, coordinate care with the team, and document activities in electronic health records before distributing images to the PACS system. Maintain supplies and inventory, ensure proper disinfection of probes and exam rooms, and perform quality control on equipment. Actively participate in performance improvement initiatives, student training, and educational activities while adhering to ARRT standards and organizational safety protocols.
