Job Summary
Execute diagnostic ultrasound examinations including routine echocardiographic, electrocardiographic, and 2D/3D/4D/M-Mode tracings in accordance with departmental policies and physician orders. Communicate with patients and families to support test execution per protocol. Assist in equipment maintenance, supply ordering, and documentation processes for imaging records and billing reports. Escalate issues according to established standards and SOPs. Requires RDMS, RVT, or pediatric sonography certification within six to twelve months of hire.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Successfully passed the Sonography Principles and Instrumentation (SPI) Examination at the time of hire
- One of the following certifications: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) within six months of employment
- Vascular Technologist (RVT) obtained within six months of employment
- Pediatric Sonography from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS-PS) must be obtained within 12 months of start date
Desired Qualifications
- Some administrative support experience (e.g., electronic data entry, records management, word processing, spreadsheet)
- Experience with medical terminology
