Job Summary
Perform general and obstetrical ultrasound exams, thyroid aspirations, and breast imaging while demonstrating proper positioning to produce high-quality images. Operate ultrasound equipment safely to create diagnostic images for physicians, evaluate technical quality, and ensure comparison studies are obtained prior to sending studies for interpretation. Collect appropriate clinical history, document findings accurately, and maintain compliance with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical and American College of Radiology accreditation requirements. Work full-time Monday through Friday with occasional Saturday rotation in a spa-like outpatient imaging environment in Williamsville. No on-call or overnight shifts are required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of 24-month AMA-approved School of Radiology Technology and subsequent Ultrasound technical program
- Bachelor's Degree in Ultrasound
- Current certification by ARDMS in abdomen or OB/GYN
- Applicable State Licensure
- Must be able to stand, stoop and lift and walk without restrictions
- Requires the ability to see, hear, speak, write and key
- Basic lifting as required, not to exceed 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- RVT
- ACLS/BLS certification
- 12 months experience in independent scanning
- Breast Certification
- Graduate of 24-month AMA-approved School of Radiology Technology
- Breast Certification required
