Job Summary

Conduct ultrasound imaging across multiple Front Range facilities, including Good Samaritan Hospital, Lutheran Medical Center, Platte Valley Hospital, and Saint Joseph Hospital. Maintain competencies at assigned sites while working a minimum of two different locations per eight-week period. Self-schedule PRN shifts on a first-come basis, committing to four shifts per cycle that include hard-to-fill dates such as weekends, holidays, or nights. Register with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and hold current Basic Life Support certification.

Required Qualifications

  • Registered with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
  • Successful completion of one registry pertinent to the department beyond physics (options include OB, abdominal, neuro, breast, pediatric, and vascular)
  • Health Services BCLS - Basic life support (Certification for Healthcare Providers)
  • Commit to a minimum of four shifts within each 8‐week period
  • Work at a minimum of two different facilities per period
  • Ability to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies
  • Ability to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations
  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
  • Ability to frequently use computers and type for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
  • Ability to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
  • Ability to bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment, including heavy items
  • Ability to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
  • Ability to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)
  • Ability to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
