Job Summary
Conduct high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist physicians in patient evaluation and treatment while verifying patient identification and ensuring procedures are appropriately ordered. Operate ultrasound equipment safely, recognize and document pathologies for radiologist interpretation, and maintain a clean, safe environment adhering to infection control guidelines. Accurately document procedures in the electronic health record and coordinate imaging material inventory. Requires ARDMS or ARRT certification and Basic Life Support within seven days of employment.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of clinical experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
- Proficiency in ultrasound imaging techniques and equipment operation
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology relevant to diagnostic sonography
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare teams
- Attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accurate imaging and documentation
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions within the scope of practice
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards
- ARDMS or ARRT - Sonography certification or registry eligible
- BCLS - Basic Life Support obtained within the 7 days of employment
