Job Summary
Perform sonographic examinations for OB/GYN, abdominal, and small parts while assisting the radiologist during invasive procedures. Make clinical judgments of patient conditions based on information from referring physicians, medical records, patient interviews, and personal assessments. Complete Ultrasound training program coursework and achieve National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography within one year of hire. Maintain National Provider BLS certification from American Heart Association upon hire and possess one year of experience as an ultrasound technologist or intern. Work per-diem shifts with variable schedules on-site at Swedish Ballard in Seattle.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of Ultrasound training program
- Education sufficient to meet eligibility requirements to take American Registry of Diagnostic Ultrasonographers (ARDMS) registry examination
- National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 1 year of experience as an ultrasound technologist or ultrasound intern
