Job Summary
Ultrasound Technologist Adult Tech I performs entry-level ultrasound procedures with knowledge of anatomical positioning and physiology. Responsible for high-quality ultrasound examinations for interpretation by a physician across children, adolescents, and adults. Requires graduation from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program and ARDMS or ARRT(S) certification at or by hire, with SPI exam completed prior to hire; BLS required. Prior experience in abdomen including elastography, small parts, pelvic/OB GYN, and doppler is preferred. The role includes ongoing certification within 12 months and registration eligibility ongoing.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- ARDMS or ARRT(S) certification at time of employment
- SPI exam completed prior to hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- 1 year modality-specific ultrasound experience preferred
- Current registration/certification eligibility with ARDMS or ARRT(S)
