Job Summary
Performs diagnostic ultrasound studies, assists radiologists and staff physicians in interpreting ultrasound examinations, and applies ultrasound equipment with sound judgment. Requires completion of a 1- or 2-year program or certified training, ARDMS registry, certification exam, and English proficiency. Positions are within Care New England Health System facilities including Butler Hospital, Women & Infants Hospital, Kent Hospital, VNA of Care New England, Integra, The Providence Center, and related entities; on-the-job ultrasound training is provided.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a one- or two-year program or certified training course
- Certification examination
- Registry with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) is required
- Must be proficient in the English language
