Job Summary
Conduct ultrasound examinations using real-time and portable equipment under the administrative direction of the Site Manager and clinical direction of the Medical Director and Radiologist. Operate multiple imaging modalities with experience in Doppler and post-Doppler techniques. Maintain department operations by demonstrating competency in CIS, RIS, and PACS systems while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality. Requires SPI Certification, ARDMS Certification as a plus, and current CPR and Venipuncture licenses. Minimum of three years clinical Ultrasound experience is required.
Required Qualifications
- Satisfactory and formal completion of an accredited, certified AMA school of Ultrasonography
- SPI Certification
- Must have current CPR and Venipuncture license
- Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support
- Minimum of three years of clinical Ultrasound experience
Desired Qualifications
- ARDMS Certification
- Successful completion of Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
- Experience in the use of Doppler and pulse Doppler
- Demonstrate competency in the use of all applicable aspects of the CIS, RIS, and PACS
- Good understanding of providing superior patient care; comfort, safety and confidentiality
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interact effectively with doctors, patients, peers
- Ability to interact effectively with doctors, patients, peers and management
