Job Summary
Conduct diagnostic general and vascular sonographic imaging to demonstrate anatomy for patient diagnosis and intervention. Perform patient interviews to gather medical history, ensure safety, and document clinical information accurately. Prepare and calibrate ultrasound equipment while maintaining daily quality control measures. Analyze acquired images to identify abnormalities and collaborate with radiologists to develop treatment plans. Maintain detailed records of procedures and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and HIPAA standards. This role requires an RDMS certification, BLS, and ability to travel frequently to multiple locations.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher in echocardiography or a related field from an accredited program
- Minimum 2 years of experience in outpatient diagnostic imaging facility or hospital
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
- BLS certification
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and cardiac pathophysiology
- Proficiency in operating sonography equipment and software
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Compassion and empathy in patient care
- Knowledge of patient safety and infection control protocols
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Proficiency with sonography equipment, eCW, PACS, Google Suite, Microsoft Office
- Follows established standards of practice for image processing and interpretation
- Must be able to travel to multiple locations for work
