Job Summary
Perform ultrasounds for surgical and non-surgical patients up to 24 weeks gestation, providing accurate sizing, dating, and intraoperative guidance for procedures including IUD removal and pregnancy termination. Conduct patient counseling on reproductive health, contraceptives, and abortion services while obtaining informed consent and managing difficult situations involving rape, STIs, and late abortions. Execute back-office functions including basic lab work, specimen processing, vital signs collection, and exam room preparation. Transport patients to recovery rooms post-procedure and ensure compliance with infection control and safety guidelines. Work alongside providers to deliver efficient reproductive health care in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Educational Development "GED"
- Certified Ultrasound Technician
- Medical assistant certificate
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Ability to demonstrate mature judgment, initiative and critical thinking

- Ability to physically assist a patient in distress

- Electronic medical records experience
Desired Qualifications
- 2 yrs. experience in clinical setting
- Reproductive, managed/primary health care and/or abortion services experience
