Job Summary

Perform high-quality ultrasound procedures across a range of exams including color Doppler vascular, abdominal, OB/GYN, and small parts, with responsibility for designated areas and for maintaining equipment, records, and patient care across departments (including surgery, Cath Lab, and portable exams). Requires RDMS and a specialty ARDMS certification, CPR within 30 days of hire, and typically involves collaborating with radiologists, ensuring image quality, and adhering to protocols, patient safety, and regulatory standards. 40-hour work week with clinical duties to support imaging services and education to maintain ARDMS CME credits; strong interpersonal skills and teamwork within a hospital imaging environment are essential.

Required Qualifications

  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
  • One specialty certification through ARDMS: Abdomen (AB), Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN), Pediatric Sonography (PS), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), Breast, Musculoskeletal (MSK)
  • CPR certification within 30 days of hire
  • One (1) year of sonographer experience (preferred)
