Job Summary
Ultrasound Tech performs ultrasonic diagnostic procedures, directs high-frequency sound waves to designated areas, captures and summarizes images for physician diagnoses, and mentors ultrasound students. The role requires maintaining equipment, adhering to ultrasound protocols, protecting patient confidentiality, and providing direct patient care with monitoring of vital signs. The position expects certification in abdominal/obstetric/vascular areas (ARDMS/CCI/ARRT) and possession of an approved ultrasound school credential, with a preference for a Bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology. The work site is The Dalles, OR, with standard day shift full-time duties and HIPAA-compliant record-keeping.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate or diploma from approved ultrasound school: Required
- Registered by the ARDMS in Abdomen (AB), Obstetrics (OB) or Vascular (RVT) or CCI Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) or ARRT in Sonography (S) or (VS): Required
- Bachelor's Degree in radiological technology or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor's): Preferred
