Job Summary
Performs diagnostic sonographic examinations to locate, evaluate, and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data. Coordinates tests, records results, and maintains operational logs. Calibrates and maintains equipment, ordering supplies as needed. Requires a certain degree of creativity and latitude, working under general supervision. Preferred qualifications include relevant certifications and at least 1 year of experience.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Certificate
- Graduate from an AMA-approved school of Sonography
- ARDMS SPI certification
- Must be eligible and certify in OB/GYN, Abdomen, Breast, or RVT within 1 year of hire
- RDMS Certificate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- Graduate from an AMA-approved school of Radiography
- ARRT Certificate in Sonography
- 1 year employed sonographer experience preferred
- Must be eligible to certify in Vascular Sonography within 1 year of hire
