Job Summary
ultrasound technologist role performing entry-level ultrasound procedures on pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients. Requires knowledge of anatomical positioning and physiology to provide high-quality ultrasound examinations for physician interpretation. ARDMS certification or registry eligibility required with certification within the first year; BLS certification required; 0-1 year ultrasound experience preferred. The position is PRN/part-time with physical demands including standing, lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted, and working in a hospital setting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or registry eligible with certification within 12 months
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or American Red Cross CPR/AED for Healthcare Providers
- 0-1 year experience in performing ultrasound diagnostic procedures
- Ability to perform ultrasound examinations on children, adolescents and adults
- Good communication skills and computer literacy
