Job Summary
Perform full range of diagnostic Ultrasound procedures under indirect Radiologist supervision, including assisting with invasive biopsies and evaluating images for accurate documentation. Communicate findings to physicians, operate RIS/PACS systems, and maintain inventory and exam room safety. Explain procedures to patients to alleviate anxiety while demonstrating respect for all individuals. Maintain equipment functionality, including high-level disinfection of probes via Trophon, and report hazards or malfunctions immediately. Adhere to safety training and physical demands involving prolonged standing and lifting up to 25 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Technologists must be registered and in good standing with the ARDMS
- Maintains certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Must be able to lift and/or carry over 20 pounds on a regular basis
- Must be able to push/pull over 25 pounds on a regular basis
- Must be able to stand and/or walk at least five hours per day
Desired Qualifications
- credentialing in physics, vascular and abdominal preferred
