Job Summary
Operate ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic exams and routine invasive procedures for neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Provide patient services and care while demonstrating knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology. Communicate effectively with staff and radiologists. Register with the American Registry of Radiological Technology or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, hold BLS certification, and graduate from an approved sonography program. This outpatient position at Piedmont Fayette Hospital is available PRN.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved CAAHEP Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or an approved SonographyProgram by the ARRT
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technology in Radiology (R) or the AmericanRegistry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or ARRT(S)
- Licensure requirement for Breast Ultrasound can be met with registration through ARRT (BS)
- BLS certified
