Job Summary

Ultrasound Technologist performs high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations with independent judgment, following department protocols to ensure accurate, reproducible imaging. Responsibilities include verifying patient identity and procedures, documenting imaging and findings for radiologist interpretation, maintaining safety and infection-control standards, operating ultrasound equipment according to guidelines, ensuring proper inventory, and maintaining accurate EHR documentation. Requires proficiency in ultrasound techniques, knowledge of relevant anatomy/physiology, strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to work independently. Licenses/Certifications include ARDMS or ARRT Sonography (registry eligible) and Basic Life Support. Night shift (Night) on a 7on-7off schedule in Birmingham, AL. Preferred education is an Associate Degree.

Required Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of clinical experience as an Ultrasound Technologist required
  • 2-4 years of clinical experience as an Ultrasound Technologist preferred
  • (S) - ARDMS or ARRT - Sonography certification or registry eligible required
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support obtained within the 7 days of employment required
