Ultrasound Tech

Explain ultrasound procedures to patients, answer questions, and provide support while spreading gel on imaged body surfaces. Program and adjust the scanner to capture images from every angle, then decide which sonograms to present to the physician. Evaluate image quality and interpret findings to assist in diagnosing and treating diseases, followed by presenting preliminary findings to physicians. Maintain patient records and medical notes, while cleaning and sterilizing procedure rooms and equipment. Assist radiologists with vascular ultrasound procedures and ultrasound-guided biopsies.
