Job Summary
Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasound diagnostic procedures under radiologist direction, including abdominal, OB/GYN, and small parts, with independent judgment and initiative. Responsibilities include transporting patients, preparing rooms, acquiring digital images, verifying technical quality, assisting physicians, coordinating department workflow, maintaining equipment, conducting quality control, rotating to cover network locations as needed, and participating in orientation/training. Requires graduation from an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program (or equivalent), ARDMS eligibility (SPI) or ARRT Sonography certification, and current BLS; at least 6 months clinical ultrasound experience preferred. “Night” shift, per diem at HonorHealth in the Phoenix area.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduation from an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program (preferred Associates)
- ARDMS eligible (SPI exam or ARRT Sonography certification)
- BLS Certification (current at time of hire)
- ARDMS credentials preferred (Two or more ARDMS specialty credentials preferred)
- ARRT certification if hired with ARDMS SPI credentialed
- RDMS license/credential (ABD, Breast, OB/GYN, Pediatric, Vascular) as applicable
- 6 months clinical ultrasound experience (inclusive of education)
