Job Summary
Operate ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic exams and routine invasive procedures while providing patient services across neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric age groups. Demonstrate knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology, communicating effectively with staff and radiologists. Maintain BLS certification and become ARDMS registered within six months of employment. This role supports the Breast Center at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital as part-time coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program
- Equivalent experience according to Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC)
- 1 year of experience is Preferred
- Must become registered by the ARDMS within (6) months of employment
- Vascular Sonographers must become registered and/or RVT, RVS, RT(S), RT(VS) within (6) months of employment
- Licensure requirement for Breast Ultrasound can be met with registration through ARRT (BS)
- BLS certified
