Job Summary

Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations and provide images for physician interpretation while maintaining sterile technique and patient confidentiality. Maintain ultrasound rooms with clean linens, disinfect probes between patients, and stock radiology supplies inventory by checking levels and expediting orders. Assist physicians, PAs, or APNs with procedures, communicate with medical staff and representatives, and document all patient care services in department records. Notify radiologists immediately of any abnormalities or concerns and adhere to infection-control policies and emergency protocols.

Required Qualifications

  • Equivalent of four years in high school
  • Night, trade extension, or correspondence school specialized training
  • Equal to two years of college
  • 2 years related experience and/or training
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • ARDMS and/or ARRT if a Radiologic Technologist
  • State of Arkansas Licenses
  • CPR

Desired Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology and/or an approved sonography program
