Job Summary
Perform high-quality sonographic procedures across diverse exams (abdominal, OB/GYN, small parts; color Doppler vascular; intra-departmental, surgery, Cath Lab, and portable). Ensures patient positioning and explanation of tests; maintains equipment and room safety; produces diagnostic ultrasound images per protocols; supports Radiologists; manages records and PACS image delivery; maintains ARDMS CME points; participates in department education and cross-training; adheres to OSHA and hospital policies; Age-specific patient care across neonatal to geriatric populations; possesses RDMS and ARDMS specialty certifications with CPR within 30 days of hire; 40-hour weekly schedule with 8a-8p shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
- One (1) specialty certification through ARDMS: Abdomen (AB) Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) Pediatric Sonography (PS) Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) Breast Musculoskeletal (MSK)
- CPR certification within 30 days of hire
