Ultrasound Imaging Specialist

Job Summary
Perform complex diagnostic ultrasound and vascular exams in accordance with department protocols while maintaining proficiency in performance and workflow. Provide high-level care to patients and support major departmental objectives including clinical excellence, education, research, and cost reduction. Assist with training and education within the radiology department and specific modalities. Maintain BLS certification and RDMS credentials, and remain on-call as hours vary according to assignments. Travel to Rancho Cucamonga, Loma Linda, Murrieta, and Victorville as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
- Minimum two years' experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
- Knowledge of Abdomen
- Knowledge of Abdominal Doppler
- Knowledge of OB/GYN
- Knowledge of Small Parts
- Knowledge of Interventional Sonographic Procedures
- Ability to read
- Ability to write legibly
- Ability to speak in English
- Ability to use computer and software programs necessary to the position
- Ability to troubleshoot and calibrate patient care equipment
- Ability to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others
- Ability to be assertive and consistent in following and/or enforcing policies
- Ability to work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure
- Ability to collaborate and accept direction

- Ability to discern temperature variances through touch
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Core Certification of Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) in Abdomen, Obstetrics or Gynecology
- Must attain Core Certification of Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) within six months of hire date
- Must be available for on-call
- Must be able to travel to Rancho Cucamonga, Loma Linda, Murrieta, and Victorville
Desired Qualifications
