Job Summary
Perform diagnostic and interventional ultrasound examinations in accordance with department policies, protocols, and quality standards. Coordinate daily staffing and workflow within the ultrasound department, oversee quality review, and manage equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Lead safety and compliance efforts including ACR, Joint Commission, and protocol reviews while monitoring PACS system operations. Serve as a liaison for inpatient and outpatient care, organize staff training programs, and assist with performance evaluations. Act as a champion for continuous improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance. Requires current ARDMS registry, OBMI license, BLS/CPR, and three years of experience as a registered Ultrasound Technologist. Full-time, 40 hours weekly, with relocation assistance available for qualified candidates.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program
- Current American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Registry or Registry eligible (OB/GYN, Abdominal and Physics)
- Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) license
- BLS CPR
- Three (3) years full-time experience as a registered Ultrasound Technologist
- Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Continually (75% or more): Standing and walking, keyboard operation, use of clear and audible speaking voice and the ability to hear normal speech level
- Frequently (50%): Sitting, lifting/carrying/pushing or pulling 1-25 pounds
- Occasionally (25%): Bending, stooping/kneeling/crouching, climbing ladder/step-stool (varies by area), reaching overhead, lifting/carrying/pushing or pulling 25-50 pounds, grasping/squeezing, ability to hear whispered speech level
- Rarely (10%): Climbing stairs
- Never (0%): Climbing ladder/step-stool (varies by area), operation of a motor vehicle
- Exposure to Elemental Factors Rarely (10%): Wet/slippery area, chemical solution
- Never (0%): Heat, cold, noise, dust, vibration, uneven surface
- Blood-Borne Pathogen (BBP) Exposure Category Risk for Exposure to BBP
- Union membership, fees or dues are not required for those who fill this position
