Job Summary
The Ultrasound Tech 3 is responsible for performing diagnostic cardiac sonographic examinations using ultrasonic equipment to evaluate and record essential physiological, pathological, and anatomical data. Key responsibilities include producing ultrasound images for diagnosis, ensuring the safety of patients and staff, conducting patient screenings according to established protocols, and providing comprehensive education to patients and families. This role also involves assessing the competency levels of others and leading their work, while reporting to a Supervisor or Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in performing diagnostic cardiac sonographic examinations
- Ability to operate ultrasonic equipment
- Competency in patient education pre and post procedures
- Experience in monitoring patient and staff safety
- Leadership skills to direct the work of others
