Job Summary
Conduct diagnostic sonographic examinations using ultrasonic equipment to locate, evaluate, and record critical physiological, pathological, and anatomical data. Produce ultrasound images to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems while monitoring and ensuring the safety of patients and staff. Perform patient screening using established protocols and provide complete pre and post education to patients and families. Operate equipment safely in accordance with departmental policy while working under minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Experience performing diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment
- Ability to locate, evaluate and record critical physiological, pathological, and anatomical data
- Ability to produce ultrasound images to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems
- Ability to monitor and ensure safety of patient and staff
- Knowledge of established protocols for patient screening
- Knowledge of departmental policy for safe operation of equipment
- Ability to perform complete pre and post education to patients and family
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
