Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• •Graduate from an Accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound program
• •ARDMS registry eligible
• •Current BLS certification
• •Able to travel to other sites

• •Able to perform a variety of examinations pertaining to the Abdomen and Pelvis
• •Ability to perform OB (1st 2nd 3rd Trimester) Biophysical Profile, Small Parts (including but not limited to Breast, Scrotal & Thyroid)
• •Demonstrate an understanding of human anatomy, physics, physiology, pathology and medical terminology
• •Is thorough, accurate, uses sound judgment, and has good time management skills
• •Demonstrates sincere interest in every patient and their well-being
• •Ability to recognize urgent/emergent findings
• •Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills
• •Ability to work effectively in teamwork environment
• •Communicate professionally with other medical facilities, patients, and customers
• •Ability to manage multiple tasks and carry out instructions effectively
• •Must possess excellent verbal communication skills
• •Good organization skills
• •Must be able to assist in supporting patients of varying weight
• •Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods of time
• •Reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction
• •Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment
• •High attention to detail
• •The ability to handle mentally stressful situations
• •The ability to maintain high level of sensitivity towards confidential information
• •Must be able to lift 50 lbs

Desired Qualifications

• •Abdomen & OB/GYN preferred
• •Breast, Vascular, MSK, NT and pediatrics registries a plus/preferred
• •ARDMS registry eligible or Abdomen & OB/GYN preferred
• •Demonstrates sincere interest in every patient and their well-being; must be sympathetic and empathetic with claustrophobic and any other patients requiring special care
• •Uses appropriate communication style, language, and volume in clinic setting
• •Ability to recognize urgent/emergent findings
• •Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills, using AIDET/4 As
• •Ability to work effectively in teamwork environment and have respectful behavior while working as a team with co-workers
