Job Summary
Open evergreen linguist roles across Yorktown Systems Group (YSG) and The Unconventional (TU) for Ukrainian language support. Responsibilities include interpretation (in-person and virtual), translation of written/electronic/audio/video materials, document review/editing, and foreign language instruction in classroom or virtual settings. Roles may support current and future government contracts across YSG/TU portfolios; candidates may be considered for a range of language support roles as opportunities arise. Minimum requirements include ILR level 2+ English proficiency (CAT I/II/III criteria), ability to translate and interpret accurately, provide language instruction, and adapt to high-pressure, field environments; security clearance eligibility as dictated by category. Location options include remote operations support in Huntsville, AL and JBLM, WA with travel as required. Additional linguist qualifications may be specified per task order.
Required Qualifications
- Must have working proficiency in English ILR level 2+ (CAT I, II, or III criteria)
- Ability to provide idiomatic translations and accurate interpretation
- Experience providing foreign language instruction to adult students
- Ability to conduct consecutive, accurate translation and interpretation
- Familiarity with local culture and customs
- Willingness to live and work in harsh environments and under pressure
- U.S. citizenship or security clearance eligibility as dictated by CAT II/III requirements

- Security clearance requirements as per CAT I/II/III categories
- CAT II: U.S. citizens with SECRET clearance or interim SECRET access; CAT III: TOP SECRET with SCI access or interim TS with SCI
