UK - Shift Plant Operator, Walsall

Operate the Walsall Energy Recovery Facility safely and efficiently on a shift rotation, utilizing the Distributed Control System to monitor combustion, steam systems, ash handling, and water treatment processes. Manage waste feeding, overhead cranes, and boiler operations while ensuring full compliance with environmental permits and reporting unsafe conditions to the Shift Team Leader. Coordinate operational activities with Assistant Plant Operators and Maintenance teams for planned and unplanned shutdowns, and lead emergency shut-down procedures under direction. Develop and maintain operational procedures and risk assessments, actively promoting site health and safety performance through inspections and forums.
