UK Service Operations Leader

Job Summary
Lead the operational and financial performance of the UK Service business, ensuring delivery of revenue, gross margin, EBIT, and profitability targets. Own the annual operating budget, forecasting, and performance management while driving continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and productivity. Partner with the UK Service Sales Director to accelerate growth, expand recurring revenue, and implement digital service solutions to enhance customer value. Monitor key performance indicators, develop strategic action plans for pricing and margins, and build executive relationships with key customers. Lead a high-performing organization through talent development, succession planning, and the promotion of safety, ethics, and compliance across all teams. Report to the UK Managing Director with regular travel across the UK required.
Required Qualifications
- Significant leadership experience within a service, maintenance, engineering, or technical operations environment
- Demonstrated success managing large operational teams within a complex, multi-site organisation
- Strong commercial and financial management experience, including budgeting, forecasting, and profit and loss responsibility
- Experience leading operational transformation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Proven ability to develop high-performing teams through coaching, mentoring, and leadership
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at executive level
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision making
- Experience working with ERP and field service management systems such as SAP, ServiceMax, or similar platforms
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Regular travel across the UK
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- Knowledge of Commercial HVAC, Residential HVAC, Building Services, or a related technical industry
- Experience leading digital service transformation and connected service solutions
