UK&I IBP Demand Planner

Job Summary

Own the short-term demand plan (0–22 weeks) for an assigned channel or portfolio, delivering an accurate and unbiased forecast that reflects customer, commercial, and market signals. Lead activities including forecast enrichment, Demand Control, and the forecast handshake process, while monitoring performance to identify exceptions and risks. Collaborate with Sales, Supply Planning, and Finance to develop customer insights and maintain a single aligned demand plan across planning horizons. Act as the subject matter expert for short-term demand planning and Demand Control, coaching planners and driving standardisation of processes. Support Global Data Object governance by resolving complex data quality issues and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives to reduce manual effort.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in Demand Planning, Supply Chain Planning or Integrated Business Planning within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or similar environment
  • Understanding of forecasting methodologies, demand sensing and short-term planning processes
  • Experience using planning systems (o9 experience desirable)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and translate insights into business actions
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across Commercial, Supply Chain and Finance
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing activities in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrates ownership and accountability for delivering high-quality planning outcomes
  • Builds collaborative relationships and works effectively across cross-functional teams
  • Proactively identifies opportunities to improve planning processes and ways of working
  • Uses data and insight to support sound business decisions
  • Adapts positively to change and contributes to the successful adoption of new planning capabilities and technologies
  • Recognised as a functional expert in short-term demand planning and IBP processes
  • Demonstrates the ability to coach others and build capability across the planning community
  • Leads process improvement initiatives and drives standardisation across multiple planning teams
  • Influences stakeholders and supports resolution of complex planning challenges without formal people management responsibility
