Job Summary
UK remote CFO role leading strategic finance across governance, risk, planning, and value creation for a global data and AI consultancy. Owns enterprise risk, capital strategy, funding, and transformation; partners with the CEO, Exec team, investors, and banking partners; leads a small finance team (two) and collaborates closely with the COO to align workforce strategy, utilization, and delivery economics. Remote work in the UK with UK-based candidates; governance, multi-jurisdictional finance, and experience across UK/EU/US preferred; compensation discussed with competitive base and incentives.
Required Qualifications
- Senior finance leadership experience in a consulting or professional services environment, ideally within technology, data or AI consultancies
- Experience leading and growing a finance team
- Operated across multiple business maturity stages (early-stage startup to enterprise)
- Proven record at CFO or deputy-CFO level, or finance director ready for step up
- Direct experience with Exec team and audit committee engagement
- Multi-jurisdictional financial operations, ideally UK, EU, US and emerging markets
- Funding experience with debt facilities, equity raises, or both
- Comfort with finance technology and data-driven, project-based business models
- Ability to collaborate with COO and senior leadership to align workforce strategy, utilization, and delivery economics
- Leadership style: strategic, autonomous, clear, with emphasis on governance and risk management
- Ability to manage and scale a small finance team within a high-growth environment
