UK Field Service Crew Chief

Job Summary
Crew Chief leads and serves as the technical SME for Field Service, providing mechanical and technical support in workshops and field locations such as compressor stations and process plants; tests equipment prior to release, supervises quality control to prevent service failures, enforces safety guidelines including LOTO, plans and manages work assignments for contracts, coaches staff, communicates with departments, and travels approximately 250 days per year (2–8 weeks at a time) with extended work hours; requires extensive experience in Reciprocating Compression, technical training, and leadership capabilities; English language skills are required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in Reciprocating Compression
- Associates Degree with a technical concentration (Bachelor’s Degree recommended) or equivalent work experience (minimum)
- Formal training in a technical certificate program
- Language: English, any other language.
- Technical training in the oil and gas industry or associated industry
- Completion of all Reciprocating Compression Systems product training
- Mastery of Advanced Shop Math Skills
- Mastery of Computer skills – Word & Excel
- Mastery of product documentation e.g., engineering standards, blueprints, drawings, schematics, Bill of Materials, Service bulletins...etc.
- Advanced leadership skills
- Mastery of Engine Balancing
- Mastery Web Deflection/Alignment
- Product Knowledge
