UK Export Processor Team Lead

Job Summary
Lead the UK Trade Operations team to ensure effective day-to-day management of export and import-related activities for UK sites. Coordinate operational execution across internal stakeholders and external logistics partners, including 4PL providers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and hauliers, while acting as the first operational escalation point for trade execution, customs, and shipment issues. Drive team performance, process standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives to maintain compliant, efficient, and timely cross-border flows. Occasional travel required (typically only a few days per year).
Required Qualifications
- A-Level education (or equivalent)
- Experience in Export/Import Operations, Logistics, Trade Operations, or Customer Service within an international environment
- Previous team leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong understanding of export/import documentation, customs processes, and Incoterms
- Experience working with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other logistics partners
- SAP R/3 experience
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Order-to-Cash (OTC) processes and Inward Processing Relief (IPR)
- Occasional travel required (typically only a few days per year)
Desired Qualifications
- Supply Chain, Logistics, or Customer Service qualification (preferred but not essential)
- Manufacturing sector experience
- Experience delivering process improvements and cost optimisation initiatives
