Job Summary
Lead UX research for the Smart Car ecosystem by conducting advanced HMI studies on driver distraction, cognitive load, and multimodal interactions. Oversee eye-tracking protocols and naturalistic driving simulations to validate IVI, HUD, and mobile app interfaces against safety standards. Synthesize Voice of Customer data and vehicle telemetry into behavioral pattern reports and ecosystem opportunity maps for the production team. Leverage AI tools to predict future user needs and benchmark global HMI trends. Deliver evidence-based audits and next-gen forecasts that define the problem space before development begins.
Required Qualifications
- 8–10 years in UX Research
- at least 3–5 years in a Managerial/Lead role
- Proven experience in complex hardware-software integrated systems
- Automotive/HMI experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors, or a related technical field
- Mastery of international HMI safety standards
- Expert-level knowledge of eye-tracking systems (e.g., Remote/Wearable)
- Expert-level knowledge of Biometric sensors (GSR, Heart Rate)
- Expert-level knowledge of specialized HMI testing software
- Proficiency in using AI-powered research tools for sentiment analysis
- Ability to work with large quantitative datasets (Big Data)
- A strong commitment to objectivity
- The ability to defend research findings with data
- The ability to distill complex technical data into compelling Insight Packages
- A natural tendency to view every feature as part of a connected system (App-Car-Web)
Desired Qualifications
- Visionary Mindset: Ability to anticipate how Autonomous Driving (ADAS) and AI will shift human behavior and expectations over the next 5–10 years
